Papa Roach Interview On The Tour Bus 2009

Check out my backstage interview with Tobin Esperance (Bass) and Tony Palermo (Drums) of Papa Roach. Papa Roach is a rock band from Vacaville, California. To date the band has sold over 10 million albums and charted seven Top 10 singles on the mainstream rock charts. But it wasn’t always easy for this once small band from Northern California. The band’s first EP, titled Old Friends From Young Ears, featured what would soon become some of the band’s biggest hits like Last Resort. But record labels like Warner Brothers Records turned down the band, leaving Papa Roach unsigned. It wasn’t until 1999 that Dreamworks finally signed the band. Papa Roach immediately went into the studio to record their debut album titled Infest. A few months later the album debuted to sales of 30000 copies and the band began a massive national tour. Soon after the album’s release the song Last Resort went to number one, blowing up the Papa Roach brand. Infest went on to peak at #5 on the Billboard Charts and sell over 6 million albums worldwide. After several years of hardship and struggle, Jacoby and Papa Roach had finally made it. Papa Roach followed up Infest with two more popular albums, Lovehatetragedy and Getting Away With Murder. The albums featured three more Top 10 singles and were both later certified Gold. Papa Roach’s continued success proved the band was more than just a one hit wonder.
